Lindsay

Lindsay would not have known about the services, training and job placement at NTI until NTI connected with Lindsey via our unique outbound marketing to Americans with disabilities.

Lindsay explained when she began the NTI process, “it took a long time to find the right job for me.  ”Her position, as virtual agent that renews memberships for a nationwide auto club, is the “best fitting job I’ve had in my entire adult life.”

Lindsay states she has worked customer service jobs in the past but “working from home is ideal for me and the hours of 5-9 PM are perfect.” With the day free she can attend doctor appointments. Virtual employment takes some getting used to but she “feels confident with the training she received” and her supervisors invite her to “further training if needed.” Lindsay also believes the “pay is really good!”

Lindsay was born with a rare physical condition called arthrogryposis. The joints within both her arms and her legs are affected.  Standing and walking are challenging; she is limited to walking from one room to the next. She does not drive and commuting is difficult; she relies on others for transportation. In public she uses a motorized scooter.

When Lindsay is not working she enjoys reading, watching TV and playing computer games. She resides with her husband in Louisiana.
